The double layer premier leather sandal offers all the great features found in their single layer leather sandal, but with an added layer of mid sole and pin line, which starts at the arch and rises towards the heel, for even more comfort and support. The mid sole is made to break down 10% under each foot so you have the perfect mold for your individual feet.
The top sole is premier nubuck leather, and is embossed with the Rainbow® logo. The 1" premier leather strap is double stitched, and the nylon toe piece is secured with a box X stitch, all sewn with bonded nylon thread.
The layers are all triple glued for maximum durability, and rests on their non-slip Rainbow® bottom. This sandal displays the Original Rainbow® woven label on the strap, the mark of a genuine Rainbow® Sandal.
Water Use & Leather Care
Getting Wet
Rainbow® premier leather sandals are built to handle everyday exposure to water — splashes, wet sand, and light rain are all part of life in these sandals. However, they are not designed for prolonged submersion (pools, surf, or extended soaking), which can weaken the glue bonds and accelerate leather breakdown over time. If your sandals get thoroughly wet, let them dry naturally rather than wearing them soaking wet for hours.
Drying
Always air dry at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, heat vents, or dryers. Excess heat can warp the footbed and crack the leather. Standing them upright or laying flat in a shaded, ventilated spot works best. Do not use a hairdryer or place them near a radiator.
Cleaning
For the leather strap and footbed, use a damp cloth with plain water or a mild, leather-safe soap. Avoid harsh detergents, bleach, acetone, or silicone-based sprays — these can strip the leather's natural oils and cause premature cracking. A light application of leather conditioner after cleaning helps maintain suppleness and extends the life of your sandals.
The break-in period is part of the Rainbow® experience — the footbed molds to your foot over time, which is why proper drying and care keep that custom fit feeling great for years.
